On Sunday, July 12th, 2026, Cabopino Golf Marbella will host one of the Regional Qualifying Events of the IDEAterrazas Tour and the World Amateur Golfers Championship Spain, a qualifying competition offering players the chance to reach the World Final in Malaysia.
This prestigious tournament will bring together golfers of different handicap levels for a competitive day of golf played under the Medal Play +4 format, with a shotgun start at 9:00 am.

The event will feature a comprehensive category system designed to ensure fair competition and excitement at every level:
- 1st Category: Handicap 0 – 5.4
- 2nd Category: Handicap 5.5 – 10.4
- 3rd Category: Handicap 10.5 – 15.4
- 4th Category: Handicap 15.5 – 20.4
- 5th Category: Handicap 20.5 – 25.4 (Ladies: exact handicap)

In addition to the competition itself, the tournament offers significant sporting rewards. The top two players in each category will qualify for the Regional Final, which will be held at Cabopino Golf on August 14th.
