Cabopino Golf is located at the easternmost end of Marbella, facing the Cabopino Marina. It features an 18-hole course designed by architect Juan Ligués Creus and offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean, as well as beautiful vegetation with abundant wide-crowned pine trees.

The layout consists of three par-3 holes, two par-5 holes, and the remaining holes are par-4. The longest hole is the 14th, a 456-meter par-5 with a wide and undulating green protected by lakes both in front and behind. The most spectacular hole is undoubtedly the 3rd, which according to numerous reviews is one of the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol. It is a par-4 hole with an elevated tee and the green surrounded by bunkers at an elevation of approximately 80 meters.

Noteworthy as well are the 13th and 15th holes, both par-3 holes protected by lakes, and the 10th hole with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Hole 1

PAR 4

HCP 11

309m

301m

264m

Your drive should be aimed slightly to the left to avoid the lateral water hazard to the right. A good long iron shot would assure good position on the fairway. The green is small so a high approach shot to hold the ball on the green is advisable to avoid the bunkers to the left and at the back.

Hole 2

PAR 4

HCP 12

279m

263m

244m

Short uphill tee shot leading through a narrow fairway with trees to the left and lateral water hazard to the right. We recommend taking an extra club for the second shot to the green. Checking the pin position is of importance as the green is on two levels and is protected by a bunker at the entrance. A good putt is essential to avoid rolling back into the bunker.

Hole 3

PAR 4

HCP 13

288m

287m

230m

Emblematic hole! Probably one of the most attractive holes on the golf course with a vertical drop from Tee to green of some 60 meters. Longer hitters could possibly reach the green from the tee but, if you don´t want to take a risk, using a 3 wood or iron would leave an easy approach shot. Care must be taken not to leave the ball short in the deep bunker at the front of the green.

Hole 4

PAR 4

HCP 9

243m

231m

210m

243 meters long with slight dog-leg to the right. The braver players could try hitting over the trees in a straight line to the green. For the rest, it would be ideal hitting an iron slightly to the left to avoid the lateral water hazard and fairway bunker on the right. Second shot needs to avoid the bunker defending the green andshould be aimed to the left because of natural slope falling to the right.

Hole 5

PAR 4

HCP 1

378m

352m

312m

One of the most technically challenging holes on the course, being both narrow and long. Fairway slopes away to the right towards lateral water hazard along its entire length. A good tee shot aimed slightly to the left is imperative. Long, narrow and uncomplicated green.

Hole 6

PAR 4

HCP 10

264m

259m

252m

An uphill dog-leg to the right. A good drive to the left of the fairway is needed to avoid bunker and out of bounds to the right. The green is defended by only one bunker at the front but precision is needed with the approach shot as the green has three platforms that could make putting difficult.

Hole 7

PAR 3

HCP 15

149m

134m

125m

The first par 3 on the course. A small green protected by a bunker at the entrance, trees to the left and out of bounds at the back. Very important to select the correct club to avoid obstacles and is better to play short rather than long..

Hole 8

PAR 4

HCP 6

277m

267m

221m

90º dog-leg to the right. Relatively easy fairway wood or long iron trying to place the ball for second shot. Aim approach shot to the lefthand side of the green to avoid bunker on the right. Large green with no complications.

Hole 9

PAR 4

HCP 3

327m

311m

275m

Generous uphill fairway to finish the front nine holes. A good drive essential to leave second shot as short as possible but try to avoid the fairway bunker to the right. Elevated green with two platforms and protected by bunkers to the sides and rear means using an extra club.

Hole 10

PAR 4

HCP 7

327m

Hole 11

PAR 4

HCP 2

Hole 12

PAR 5

HCP 5

422m

392m

354m

90º dog-leg to the right. 403m

Second and last par 5. Technical hole with many obstacles. Tee off down the center of the fairway using a wood or even a long iron to go no more than 200mts avoiding the water hazard that crosses the fairway. Second shot to be played straight taking care with lateral water hazard to the left and out of bounds to the right. Third shot to a well protected green with water to the rear and left and lateral bunkers. Essential to play a high attacking shot slightly to the right to hold the ball on the green.

Hole 15

PAR 3

HCP 17

130m

290m

274m

Hole 17

PAR 4

HCP 16

268m

258m
