On August 17th, we dressed up to celebrate the I Cabopino Trophy, an event that has left a mark on the memory of all participants. With perfect weather, the 78 golfers in attendance enjoyed a day full of excitement and great golf.
The players showcased their best game as they navigated the 18 holes under Marbella’s warm sun.
The Awards Ceremony and Celebration Cocktail
The day reached its peak with an awards ceremony that did not disappoint. The players gathered to enjoy and celebrate the day’s achievements in a joyful atmosphere. It was the perfect moment to relax, share impressions, and, of course, announce the fortunate winners of the special prizes.
Winners of the I Cabopino Trophy
In the awards section, the results were as thrilling as they were competitive. In the ladies’ category, Lone Bjerrisgaard won the prize for the longest drive, while Álvaro Aleixandre emerged as the winner in the men’s category.
Meanwhile, Eladio Pérez claimed victory in the Scratch category after completing the course with 69 strokes, demonstrating a mastery and precision that earned him this well-deserved recognition.
In the first category, Yago Castillo and Pedro Puga tied for first place with 37 points, although Castillo took the top spot after a tiebreaker, followed by a strong Jens Bjerrisgaard with 34 points. In the second category, Juan Ramón Siles stood out with 39 points, closely followed by Ángel López with 38 points and Alejandro Canales with 36 points, capping off a high-level competition day.
