The calendar of sporting events in Marbella is enriched with the arrival of the World Amateur Golfers Championship, one of the most anticipated competitions of the year. The World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) 2024 is preparing to conquer the greens of Cabopino Golf Marbella and determine the 5 players who will represent this course in the National Final 2024 in Infinitum and may get to play the World Championship in Thailand. On August 10, our course will become the epicenter of the international competition, where golfers of all levels will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skill and passion for the sport. Tournament Details
The tournament will start at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start, which ensures that all participants start their round simultaneously. This format will be carried out under the Medal Play +4 Handicap modality. Each player will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on the course while strategically managing their handicap to optimize their score.
Categories and Prizes
The 2024 WAGC is designed to accommodate players of varying levels with 5 specific categories based on handicap. Whether you are a golfer with a handicap of 0 to 5.4 or one with a handicap of 20.5 to 25.4, there is a category for you. The categories are:
1st Category: Handicap from 0 to 5.4.
2nd Category: Handicap from 5.5 to 10.4
3rd Category: Handicap from 10.5 to 15.4
4th Category: Handicap from 15,5 to 20,4
5th Category: Handicap from 20.5 to 25.4
In addition, the first classified in each category will be awarded with special trophies. But that’s not all, there are a series of prizes and surprises that will leave you speechless.

Registration and Prices
The registration fee includes the green fee, a shared buggy and a cocktail at the end of the day. The prices are as follows:
General price: 75€.
Cabopino Plus members and juniors up to 17 years old: 65€.

National and International Finals
The players who shine in Cabopino Golf Marbella will have the opportunity to advance to the National Final in Infinitum (Costa Daurada – Tarragona – Salou), where they will compete in the Lakes and Hills courses. And for the most outstanding, the World Final will be held from October 25 to November 2 in Thailand, at the splendid Laguna – Phuket course.
